Nene holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and French Language from the University of California at Santa Cruz. She also holds a California Secondary Teaching Certification in French and English as a Second Language from Dominican University in San Rafael, California.

She is licensed in massage (somatic) therapy.

Nene completed a three-year executive coaching syllabus mentored by two senior-level executive coaches with 60+ years in the field. She also has a certification from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California, in Comprehensive Evidence-Based Executive Coaching in the School of Organizational Development and Leadership.

She is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.

Nene is also an Accredited Enneagram Practitioner.
